Under 12 Match Report Sunday September 26th 2004 Luton Town Belles 4 - Hemel Hempstead 1
A very good performance against, a well drilled and very strong Hemel team saw Luton gain a valuable win. Some neat passing in the first half between Laura, Desiree, Alicia and Leanne down the right flank frequently opened up Hemel`s defence without registering a goal. Serena and Katie west solid in the centre and Amy caused the visitors some trouble with good crosses but Luton couldnt convert the chances- the opposition did threaten, with breakaways a few times and a number of corners mid way through the first half One break away resulted in Thea snaking a great save with her legs and also smothering a good shot from outside the box. Luton still pushed forward in the first half Megan did well with some good dribbling skills and Kate also pushed on for corners. Katie had a few half chances before. of course, Hemel broke away and snatched the lead with a well struck shot which gave Thea no chance. Luton continued to dominate until half time but turned round at 0-1 Second hall saw the Belies take a firm grip of the game. Serena Kate Beth and Alice were very strong in the tackle and within five minutes Leanne put Ashley trough to score with a neat finish in the corner of the net. A few minutes later Luton won a corner, which bobbled around the penalty area before Serena struck a fine shot into the roof of the net. The third goal came after good work from our converted striker Ashlev who rolled the ball back For Kate who finished well. Serena capped a fine game with the fourth goal, and her second. After Kate had a shot blocked. Serena drilled the ball home for a hard fought but well deserved win. Good performances from Alex in defence and Amber in midfield showed how good the squad is. Everybody played their part in a deserved, and in end a, convincing win. Well done girls, keep up the good work |
